Installing a GL520MG

Here’s how to correctly install the battery box, GL520MG

1. Check the packaging

Start by ensuring the following items are included:

GL520MG
Mounting bracket
Double-sided tape
Screws

2. Find your IMEI number

Locate the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number on the side of your GPS tracker. The number is 15 characters long.

You will need the IMEI number to set up the GPS device on your account in Keatech Live.

3. Activate the GL520MG

To activate the GL520MG, follow these steps:

Hold down the button on the device for 5 seconds.

A green light will appear from STATUS and a blue light from GPS.

When the blue light from GPS starts to blink, the device is active

TIP: If you are unsure whether your GL520MG is still active, simply press the large round button. If the STATUS and GPS lights illuminate, the device is still active.

IMPORTANT: If the GL520MG does not light up from either STATUS or GPS, it means the device has no power. Try the following:

Wait a few minutes and try pressing the round button again

4. Secure the GL520MG

After activating the GL520MG GPS device, secure it in the area where you want the battery box to track the fleet. This could be in a warehouse, on a construction site, in a container, trailer, or crew cabin.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT install the GL520MG in the following locations, as they block the GPS signal:

In metal boxes
Under metal
Other metal enclosures
Concrete buildings
Steel buildings

5. Installation is complete

You have now installed the GL520MG and can check if the GPS device is active on your account in Keatech Live.
