Here's a guide to correct install the GB1300MG on your vehicle.
1. Check the packaging
Start by checking that the following items are included:
- GB130MG device
- Red wire with connector
- Black wire with connector
- Double-sided tape
2. Find your IMEI number
Locate the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number on the bottom of your tracker. The number is 15 characters long.
You will need the IMEI number to set up the GPS device on your Keatech Live account.
3. Locate the vehicle's battery
Start by turning off the vehicle and setting it to park before you begin installing the GB130MG.
Then, locate the vehicle's battery.
NOTE: The location of the battery depends on the vehicle model. Check the vehicle's manual.
4. Connect the GB130MG to the vehicle's battery
Now, connect the GB130MG to the vehicle's battery. Start by attaching the red wire to the car's positive battery terminal DC 8-32V.
Then attach the black wire to the negative terminal GND.
5. Activate the GB130MG
Once the GB130MG is connected to the vehicle's battery, start the vehicle to ensure power to the battery.
The device is activated when the LED light above the arrow blinks red at 2-3 second intervals.
IMPORTANT: If the GB130MG does not blink from the LED, the device is not receiving power. Try the following:
- If your vehicle has a power switch, turn it off.
- Ensure that the vehicle’s ignition is on.
- Check that the wires on the GB130MG are properly connected to the vehicle's battery.
6. Mount the GB130MG
After connecting the GB130MG to the vehicle's battery, you need to mount the GPS device to the vehicle.
Clean the GB130MG with a cloth. Apply the double-sided tape to the GPS device included in the box.
Now place the GB130MG on a flat surface with as much exposure to open sky as possible.
The arrow on the GPS device should point in the direction of the vehicle's travel.
- Center of the undercarriage
- Metal shock absorbers
- Glove compartment
- Other metal enclosures
7. Installation is complete
You have now mounted your GB130MG and can check if the GPS device is active on your Keatech Live account.
